STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accountant with expertise in hospitality and property accounting to join our team on a full time basis. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile financial records for hospitality and property-related transactions.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment verification, and collections.

  • Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare and submit tax filings, including sales tax, occupancy tax, and property tax.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for hospitality and property-related operations.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as property managers and department heads, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting principles, tax laws, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to hospitality and property accounting.

  • Proficient in accounting software, Google Suite and MS Office Suite 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
