Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar BAMS,
MD (Ayurveda)
Daksha Devi’s passion for cooking was sparked in the kitchen of her Yugoslav grandmother on the Uruguayan coast, where she learned the magic of homemade food surrounded by gardens and expert teachers. In her teenage years, she joined the Hare Krishna movement, traveling the world and mastering the essentials of Vedic cooking, culture, and philosophy. This experience deeply rooted the vegetarian and Hindu essence in her culinary style, blending traditional and inventive flavors with meditation (Bhakti).
A pioneer of vegetarian and Hindu cuisine in South America, Daksha founded iconic restaurants like Krishna and Quimbombó in Buenos Aires and trained numerous chefs. She has cooked for renowned figures such as Narendra Modi, Deepak Chopra, and Boy George, and collaborated with organizations like The Art of Living. Today, she runs a culinary space in Tigre, Buenos Aires, offering courses, catering, and cultural events that transport guests to the ancient flavors of India.
