Overview
The ChoZen Center for Regenerative Living (CCRL) is a bioregional hub dedicated to demonstrating regenerative practices that protect biodiversity, foster resilience, and empower communities to thrive in balance with nature. Through conservation, education, and community-driven initiatives, CCRL works to create a model for sustainable living that integrates ecological restoration, regenerative agriculture, and environmental education.
We are seeking a visionary, action-oriented Executive Director to lead CCRL, drive fundraising and strategic partnerships, oversee program execution, and expand the organization’s impact. This role is ideal for a leader passionate about sustainability, conservation, and community resilience who thrives in building networks, securing funding, and implementing regenerative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic leadership to advance CCRL’s mission and vision.
Foster a culture of regeneration, sustainability, and bioregional resilience.
Develop and oversee key initiatives in biodiversity conservation, land stewardship, and regenerative education.
Fundraising & Financial Management
Design and implement fundraising strategies to secure grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic support.
Develop a tiered donor engagement system for high-value contributors.
Manage CCRL’s budget and financial sustainability, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Build relationships with local communities, conservationists, regenerative agriculture leaders, and policymakers.
Serve as the public face of CCRL, advocating for sustainability and bioregional conservation.
Establish strong partnerships with environmental organizations, Indigenous groups, educational institutions, and corporate sponsors.
Program Development & Operations
Oversee and expand CCRL’s regenerative projects, conservation programs, and community-based education initiatives.
Develop and implement eco tours, permaculture workshops, and volunteer-driven restoration programs.
Track and evaluate impact metrics to ensure alignment with biodiversity protection and community resilience goals.
Lead and manage a small but growing team of staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of leadership experience in a nonprofit, conservation, sustainability, or regenerative development organization.
Proven success in fundraising, donor engagement, and financial oversight.
Experience in community-driven projects, land stewardship, or sustainability initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Visionary leadership with the ability to strategically grow an impact-driven nonprofit.
Strong fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations skills.
Passion for regenerative practices, biodiversity conservation, and ecological restoration.
