About Us:

ChoZen Eco Retreat is a sanctuary nestled along the St. Sebastian River, dedicated to offering guests immersive experiences in nature, wellness, and community. As part of our commitment to sustainability and connection, our culinary program focuses on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients prepared with care.

Responsibilities:

• Masterfully grill a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables for private events, retreats, and communal meals.

• Collaborate with our culinary team to create menus featuring fresh, local, and organic ingredients.

• Ensure grilling techniques align with the retreat’s sustainability values and minimize waste.

• Prepare food safely and maintain high cleanliness standards for all cooking equipment and grilling areas.

• Engage with guests and share insights about ingredients, cooking methods, and sustainability practices.

• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and food prep as needed to ensure a smooth service experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a grill master, pitmaster, or outdoor chef.

• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, including direct and indirect heat cooking.

• Ability to work with seasonal ingredients and prepare meals for groups of up to 500 guests.

• Passion for sustainable cooking and a willingness to align with eco-conscious practices.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner.

• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and during special events or retreats.
