Employee, Vendor & Guest Presenter Social Media & Community Guideline
These guidelines aim to foster a collaborative community atmosphere where members of our ecosystem can engage authentically, share valuable insights and thrive while assisting with the successful & impactful storytelling and development of the ChoZen ethos, mission, vision and values.
Focus on Company Mission: When using social media on behalf of ChoZen, employees & vendors should prioritize sharing content that aligns with the company's mission, values, and goals. Content should aim to educate, inform, or entertain, rather than promote personal interests or agendas.
Avoid Direct Promotion: Employees & vendors should refrain from using company-owned social media accounts or platforms to directly promote their personal ventures, products, or services. This includes avoiding excessive mentions or links to personal projects or businesses.
Maintain Professionalism: While employees are encouraged to share insights and engage in industry-related discussions, they should maintain a professional tone and demeanor. Avoid engaging in overly promotional or controversial behavior that may reflect poorly on the company.
Disclose Affiliations: If an employee's or vendor’s personal social media activity involves topics related to the company's industry or interests, they should transparently disclose their affiliation with the company. This helps maintain transparency and credibility.
Respect Company Channels: Company-owned social media accounts and channels should be used primarily to promote company-related news, updates, and initiatives. Personal promotions should be kept separate from official company communications.
Refrain from Spamming: Employees & vendors should avoid spamming company-owned social media channels with repetitive or irrelevant content, including personal promotions. Content should be relevant, timely, and valuable to the audience.
Engage Authentically: ChoZen encourages employees & vendors to engage authentically with their personal networks on social media. This includes sharing genuine insights, participating in conversations, and building relationships without resorting to self-promotional tactics.
Educate Employees & Vendors: ChoZen will help to provide training or resources to help employees understand the boundaries between personal and professional social media use. Clarify expectations regarding self-promotion and the importance of maintaining a positive online presence in a collaborative and dynamic way.
Monitor and Enforce Guidelines: Company-owned social media channels will be regularly monitored to ensure compliance with these guidelines and any violations will be addressed promptly with a warning and provide feedback or corrective action as necessary.
Encourage Contribution: While self-promotion is discouraged, employees & vendors are encouraged to contribute positively to the company's online presence by sharing company-related content, participating in advocacy campaigns, and helping to amplify the company's message within their personal networks.
